CO-tsend.exe Tunnel Sender program

The BMC Defender Agent for Windows provides one special utility to support secure TCP tunnelling of messages through firewalls and routers. The CO-tsend.exe program is the BMC Defender Tunnel Sender Service program and works with the CO-trecv.exe program of the BMC Defender system.

By default, neither the CO-tsend.exe nor the CO-trecv.exe program is installed or configured. The administrator must manually install the CO-tsend.exe service on one or more Windows platforms and manually edit the configuration files for the program. The administrator should also install the CO-trecv.exe program at the BMC Defender Server.

Neither of these programs is required for proper operation of the BMC Defender Server. However, if a site has special firewall, routing or encryption requirements, these programs can enhance the overall security of the BMC Defender system.

Detailed notes on the CO-tsend.exe and CO-trecv.exe programs are provided in the following sections of this space, including the steps needed to install and configure the program on both a client windows platform and also on the central BMC Defender Server.
