Uninstalling BMC Defender Agent for Windows

The BMC Defender Agent for Windows gets uninstalled via the Add / Remove Programs windows facility. You can navigate to this screen (via the Control Panel) and click the BMC Defender Syslog Message server entry to execute the Uninstall program. You can follow the instructions of the dialog to uninstall the BMC Defender Framework system.

Note

Unlike many uninstall programs, the BMC Defender Framework files are left intact on the disk. Following the uninstall procedure, you must physically remove these files, such as by dragging the BMC Defender root directory to the Microsoft Windows recycle bin. This extra step safeguards against any accidental removal of data on the system.
