Customer Support diagnostics report

The Customer Support Diagnostics Report produces a list of PTFs that have been applied to your installation. BMC Support team may ask you to generate the report to aid in diagnosing an issue.

Important

Generating this report requires READ access to the SMP/E data sets. Consult with your Security Administrator if you do not have the proper authority.

To generate the Customer Support Diagnostics Report

  1. On the Session Monitor - Main Menu, type PTFS on the Option Line and press Enter. The Diagnostics screen is displayed.

       PTF output list . . . . 'JSMITH.PTFS.REPORT'

    The Global CSI data set is the SMP/E Global CSI data set. The Target Zone is the SMP/E Target Zone. These fields default to the data set name and target zone established by your installer. The PTF output list is the sequential data set to contain the report.

  2. Complete the PTF output list field, insert a job card, and press Enter. Session Monitor submits the job.

  3. Once the job has completed, view the report with ISPF. The following figure shows a sample report.
