To install Session Monitor

  1. Follow the instructions in BMC Installer Mainframe Products SMP/E Installation to install the Session Monitor SMP/E environment.

    Important

    • Because Session Monitor is delivered as an element of FMID MQQF170, BMC Installer identifies the product component as Performance Test version 17.02.00.
    • Make a note of the data set name that you specify for the BMC Installer to retain the ISPF tables that it creates.
  2. Review and submit sample job $10CPYQF created by the BMC Installer. This creates a copy of the Session Monitor SQQFSAMP target library to use as the Session Monitor configuration data set, also known as the .INSTALL library. The data set name can be any name, but we recommend using your SMP/E environment high-level qualifiers suffixed with the low-level qualifier .INSTALL.
  3. Follow the instructions in this space to configure and deploy Session Monitor.
