Reviewing the startup JCL procedure

  1. In the samples library, locate the following sample startup procedure:
    • RSSPROC for the server address space
    • RSSMPROC for the master address space
    • RSSTPROC for the TSO address space
  2. Copy the procedures to your production running procedure library and change the data set names to reflects those built when you installed Security Administrator.
  3. Make sure that the RSSPARM DD statement refers to the Security Administrator configuration member that you prepared in Reviewing Security Administration configuration.

The EXEC PARM for the Security Administrator server and agent address spaces supports two parameters:

//RSS    EXEC PGM=RSS,PARM='RSSID=rssId,SCOPE=scope'

Where a Security Administrator address space needs to interact with a Security Administrator server address space (such as agent or Security Administrator TSO address spaces), the same Security Administrator ID must be assigned to each address space.

If you need multiple Security Administrator server address spaces in the same sysplex, each must have a unique Security Administrator ID.

The Scope parameter is optional and is used to control the block of configuration parameters processed by this Security Administrator instance. For more information, see Configuring-parameters.

For Security Administrator TSO address spaces, the syntax to define the RSSID is slightly different because of the need for the IKJEFT01 entry point:

//RSSTSO EXEC PGM=IKJEFT01,
 // PARM='CALL *(RSSTSO) ''RSSID=<rssId>''

Note

The Security Administrator TSO address space sample configuration also includes reference to a RSMREXX data set, which is the location of any custom REXX you want to make available to Security Administrator. If no custom REXX is present, this line can be omitted from the TSO address space JCL.

After you complete this step, Security Administrator is fully installed.

Where to go from here

After you complete installation, you are ready to start the product. For more information, see Starting-and-stopping-Security-Administrator.

If you want to monitor multiple systems, see Migrating-Security-Administrator-to-other-systems.

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
