Migrating Security Administrator to other systems

You do not have to perform a full installation of BMC AMI Security Administrator on each system on which it is required. We recommend that you perform one full SMP/E installation on one system and then migrate runtime data sets to any other required target systems.

You must create the Security Administrator procedure and RACF resources on each system and grant Security Administrator users access to the required resources.
 To migrate the complete runtime environment to other systems, follow these steps:

1. Verify that the target system for the migration satisfies all the installation prerequisites.
2. Transfer the following runtime data sets to the target system:
   • your_hlq.RSMLOAD
   • your_hlq.RSMDOCS
   • your_hlq.RSMSAMP
3. Complete all the steps in the Authorizing the Security Administrator load library section.
