Logging on to RSS

This topic describes how to log on to BMC AMI Resident Security Server (RSS).  Your system might vary depending on the installed products.

1. In a web browser, enter https://systemName:port, substituting the values as determined by your installation and the RSS configuration.

2. In the BMC AMI Security Logon window, enter your user ID and password and click Log On.

   Note

   If you do not have the required level of authority to log on to RSS, your connection might be rejected even if your user ID and password are correct.

   The Product Selection menu appears, displaying a menu of the applications that you are permitted to access are displayed. The menu is dynamically built based on your level of authority on the system.
   (SPE2410) After you select a product, the footer of the RSS UI displays information such as the current user ID, the product name, and the current release and version details.

   The following image illustrates the Product Selection menu for PAM. A similar UI is displayed for SPM, EC for Venafi, and EC for Illumio as well. 

   

If you have the necessary system authority, the menu items for Audit Log and Tools are displayed. Click an application name to display the dashboard for that utility. From the application, you can click the Menu button to return to the Product Selection screen.
