Configuring after installation

Configure the product at startup time by using parameters defined in one or more members of the partitioned data set defined on DD name RSSPARM. Sample configuration members are provided in the samples library created during product installation.

The configuration members define the values required to start the product, such as for the following:

  • Product key
  • IP address
  • Port number
  • Protocol for the browser interface
  • Message level

Where the products require additional configuration parameters, you can add these parameters to the existing BMC AMI Resident Security Server ( RSS ) configuration parameters.

Important

Configuration parameters are only required for the RSS server and RSS agent address spaces. No configuration parameters are required for the master or TSO address spaces.
