Event identifier

An event identifier is an unsigned number from 0 through 65535 that identifies the event record. Specify the value in the API1 control block field, CZ1Ident.

BMC AMI Defender logs passed values in the following cases:

  • An event record anomaly occurs
  • The parameter file specifies LOG or LOG (HEX) for the particular event

Use the EventNonSMFIdent field to send passed values to the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) service.
