Command and syntax reference


This section describes the BMC AMI Datastream for z/VM commands.

The non-query type commands, SM RACFSMF SETTIMER nn and SM RACFSMF STOP, fail to run if entered by an invalid user ID that is not listed in the RACFSMF PARMS parameter file. Query-type commands are run, even if entered by an invalid user ID.

Displays the value of the current timer setting

SM RACFSMF SETTIMER nn

Resets the timer interval to nn in seconds

Displays the current IP address

Shuts down RACFSMF

sm racfsmf stop

The STOP command generates a message that is displayed on the operator console when you enter the STOP command from a valid user ID that is listed in the parameter file.
