STOP command


The STOP command (P) stops BMC AMI Datastream for z/OS.

If there are any records still on the message queue that need to be processed, BMC AMI Datastream leaves the queue allocated so that a warm start can be attempted.

Important

One or more blanks are required after STOP or P and before czagentName or taskName.

Statement parameter

The STOP command uses the following parameters:

czagentName | taskName

Name of the BMC AMI Datastream job or started task specified on the START command or in the JCL

This parameter is required.

Termination (STOP) responses

Message CZA0212I indicates that the STOP command is accepted by the specified instance name, with the precise build version information.

Message CZA0234I indicates that termination is in progress.

Message CZA0042I indicates that BMC AMI Datastream completed with a return code. For more information, see Codes issued by BMC AMI Datastream products.
