SIVDSN statement

You can use the SIVDSN statement to monitor a specified list of PDS and PDSE data sets with one or more of the following attributes:

  • Defined Record Format (RECFM) of Fixed (F), non-spanned Variable (V), or blocked or unblocked Undefined (U), with or without printer control characters
  • Logical Record Length (LRECL) of any value within the 32,760 byte maximum length

You can specify up to 20 fully-qualified data set names (DSNs) in the SIVDSN statement. Any additional DSNs are ignored and the CZA0482W warning message is issued:

Number of DSN entries for SIVDSN statement exceeded the threshold value thresholdValue. Last numberOfEntries entries will be ignored

Using SIVDSN

SIVDSN is disabled by default. To use the SIVDSN statement, switch on the the following options in the $$$CONFG member:

  • SIV
  • SRCC
  • USRSRCC

You define the SIVDSN statement in the $$$SIVDSN member of the amihlq.PARM data set. You can find a sample SIVDSN statement in the amihlq.PARM(CZASIVDS) data set.

Statement parameter

SIVDSN uses the following parameter:

You cannot use DSNs with wildcard characters.
