Configuring BMC Defender Server to support single sign-on

(SPE2310)

(This topic applies to BMC Defender Server administrators only)

You can integrate BMC Defender Server with your enterprise single sign-on (SSO) provider. After you enable SSO functions, if your SSO provider authenticates BMC Defender Server users once, users need not provide their credentials again (within the session expiry time) to log on to BMC Defender Server.

To enable the SSO functions, BMC Defender Server uses the OpenID Connect (OIDC) protocol that works on the OAuth2 framework. BMC Defender Server supports Keycloak and Okta OIDC providers.
