Working with dashboards

BMC Defender Server provides a comprehensive dashboard facility that allows users to view top-level BMC Defender Server data, and drill down to view details. Each dashboard consists of one or more panels. Each panel contains a user-specified gadget. 

You can create, modify, and delete dashboard configurations. As an operator, you can specify the default login page and select a default dashboard using the System > Prefs page of the system.

The extensive drill-down capability of the dashboard page enables navigation to all significant areas of the program. For some users, the dashboard facility might be the principle (and perhaps only) page used to assess the security of the organization and performance of the system.
