Expression Evaluation Tool

You can use the Expression Evaluation Tool to observe the behavior of basic and advanced expressions. In particular, this tool expands most (but not all) of the global variables listed before, substituting the global variable name for its value. You can see the results of the expansion at the bottom of the screen after clicking Submit.

Navigate to the tool from the More menu hyperlink. You can experiment with keywords, wildcards, compare functions, and global variables. You can access this tool and apply any of the examples discussed in the Simple-match-expressions and Advanced-expressions section.
