Account management report

BMC Defender Server provides a special report to monitor and tabulate changes to user authentication mechanisms, that are used to limit access to networks and devices. This report helps satisfy various security standards that dictate how organizations track changes to system authentication and access.

The BMC Defender Account management report facility creates reports that deal with Active Directory (and local) account changes. These reports can provide evidence to auditors that critical authentication methods are managed and monitored.

The report facility scans the list of received messages and tabulates key metrics for changes to Active Directory accounts of all types. The resulting report furnishes a list of all member and group changes to authentication methods over a reporting time interval.

Note

By default, BMC Defender has complementary alerts associated with active directory member and group changes.

The report facility herein provides a table of changes useful for historical analysis and review, in addition to the default alerting and real-time ticketing mechanisms that are implemented by the BMC Defender Server.
