Expression Evaluation Tool

As a final note to this section, the behavior of both basic and advanced expressions, including all elements described in this section, might be observed using the Expression Evaluation Tool introduced at the end of the first section. In particular, this tool expands most (but not all) of the global variables listed before, substituting the global variable name for its value. You can see the results of the expansion at the bottom of the screen after clicking Submit.

This tool, accessed through the More menu hyperlink, allows you to test and experiment with keywords, wildcards, compare functions, and global variables. The reader is encouraged to access this tool and apply any of the examples discussed so far.
