Configuring the BMC AMI Command Center for Security dashboard

After installation, use the following procedure to configure BMC AMI Command Center for Security dashboard:

  1. Install the BMC AMI Defender for z/OS agent system on one or more LPARS. 
    For more information, see Installing.
  2. Configure the z/OS address group to include the IP address of each LPAR running the agent program. 
    You can find the IP addresses via the Messages > Search and Messages > Device screens of the BMC Defender Server.

    1. In the web interface, navigate to Correlation > Config > Address Groups.

      Tip

      This link is also available from the home screen of the BMC Defender Server, near the top of the display.

    2. Click Edit next to the @@zos@@ address group to edit the address group.
    3. Provide the IP address for each LPAR, one IP address per line.
    4. Click Save.

You can now use the dashboard collection. As LPARS begin sending messages to the BMC Defender Server address, the system automatically collects and correlates the z/OS data.
