BMC Defender Server dashboard screens
BMC Defender Server provides a comprehensive dashboard facility that allows users to view top-level BMC Defender Server data, and drill down to view details. Each dashboard consists of various window panels. Each window panel can contain a user specified Gadget. The particular gadgets are specified and configured via the Edit Layout at the bottom of the screen, or by clicking the Edit Gadget icon at the upper right of each window panel.
You can create, modify, and delete dashboard configurations. The operator can make this the default login screen, and select a default dashboard, using the User Preferences screen of the system.
The drill-down capability of dashboard screens is quite extensive, and allows the end user to navigate all significant areas of the program. For some users, the dashboard facility might be the principle (and perhaps only) screen used to assess the security of the organization and performance of the system.
This section provides a description of primary Dashboard screens, including information on how to construct dashboards. For description of the actual gadgets available to users, see Dashboard-gadgets.
