Loading additional Score Card templates

The BMC Defender Server system comes pre-configured with various ready-to-run score cards. Additionally, you can load additional specialized templates by clicking the AddNew option, then clicking the LoadFrom option on that screen. This displays a drop-down list containing a number of other Score Card templates that you can select as a starting point for a particular application (such as PCI-DSS, HIPAA, ISO 27001, GDPR, SOX (Sarbanes Oxley) or other score cards).

Score cards, accessed using the LoadFrom option include pre-configured score cards to support typical SIEM applications, as well as score cards to support the BMC AMI Defender for z/OS agent program program. Additional blank score cards (with no mapping to threads) are also available for selection.

Additionally, users can edit an existing score card report (as with any other audit report), then make modifications to the report, and then use the SaveAs option (on the edit screen) to save the changes to a new file, that appears on the top-level Score Cards screen.

These two techniques furnish an easy way to add new and specialized score cards for specific applications and functions, as opposed to creating a new Score Card completely from scratch (that might otherwise be a laborious process).
