Editing HTML templates
Visualizer is shipped with HTML templates that specify how graphs are displayed on the Web. You can edit the templates using any standard PC editor. For example, the graphs appear on a Web page that contains the BMC Software logo over the index and as a background for the graph display area.
The following procedure gives you an example of how to edit a specific component, the BMC Software logo. The procedure applies to anything you want to change in the template.
- Open a standard PC editor such as Notepad.
Open the *.htt templates file located in the Visualizer directory (unless you installed to another directory).
Whenever Visual/scan appears as a pseudo command in the file, you know that Web Publish is reading, renaming, and moving the corresponding file. To substitute your own logo (which must be available in a browsable format), look in the file bmccolor.htt for<visual / scan = bmccolor.png>- Replace bmccolor.png with a reference to a file containing your own logo.
