Cutting, copying, and pasting graphs
Use Visualizer performance data to enhance other reporting and graphic tools. Using options from the Edit menu, you can cut or copy the graphs to the Windows Clipboard. You can then paste them into other applications, including spreadsheets and word processing programs. You can also reverse the process and paste graphs from other applications into Visualizer.
You can cut, copy, and paste graphs to and from the following locations:
- A graph or page window
- A page slot on a graph page
- Text from a project or graph note
- Cells from a data table or from the following dialog boxes:
- Exception Threshold
- Forecast Parameters
- Interval Selection Guidelines
- Target Ranges
Using Visualizer graphs in other applications
Use the following procedure to place a graph from Visualizer into another application.
- Click a graph on the desktop or on a graph page.
- Do one of the following to move it to the Clipboard:
- Select Edit > Cut to move the original to the Clipboard.
- Select Edit > Copy to copy a duplicate of the original to the Clipboard.
- Switch to the application you want.
- From the appropriate menu in the application, click Paste.
Pasting graphs from other applications into Visualizer
You can select Edit > Paste to paste graphs cut or copied to the Clipboard from other applications into a page slot on a selected graph page. You cannot use Visualizer to modify a graph that you have pasted from the Clipboard.
