Graphing exceptions

Visualizer lets you identify potential performance problems by displaying values and exceptions that exceed acceptable defaults or thresholds you specify. There are pre-set exception threshold values for certain components. You can use, change, or add default values. Exception graphing is available for all data sources.

  • In Visualizer:
    • Turn the Exceptions by Threshold flag on.
    • Set the exception threshold values and components
  • In Automator run a Scan for Exceptions event (see Scanning-a-database-for-exceptions).

Scanning alters the database by writing records for each value exceeded. Each time you update a database (Populate, Subset, MASF), scan it to get the most accurate picture.
