Forecasting

The ability to forecast future system performance affects many areas of your organization, including purchasing, capital equipment investment, and long-range corporate planning. Visualizer provides a tool for graphically preparing your forecasts for management presentation.

Visualizer lets you compare forecast data to the actual measurement data for all measurement data sources. You can present the results of those forecasts graphically or use the information in other applications. If your forecasts become outdated, you can delete them from the database or modify them.

For each platform, you can choose from selected components whose measurements you're most likely to want to graph against your forecast values (such as CPU utilization, I/O rates, workload response rates, and so on). The selected components vary from platform to platform. Time invested in forecast planning pays off in informative graphs.
