Installing Microsoft SQL Server software

You can use the following procedure to install Microsoft SQL Server software. 

To install Microsoft SQL Server client software

Download and install the following SQL Server Client products. 

For more information see the Microsoft SQL Server documentation for client and server installation instructions.

Note

 Your DBA must assist you with the installation and configuration of SQL Server client software. 

  1. Run Server setup in the appropriate subdirectory (for example, E:/I386/SETUP.EXE) and install the Client/Server utilities (bulk copy utility).
  2. Run Driver setup in the appropriate subdirectory (for example, E:/I386/ODBC/SETUP.EXE) to install the 32-bit Microsoft SQL Server ODBC driver and its associated members.

Note

Before you start the installation process, verify that you can connect to the server outside of the Visualizer product. 

To install Microsoft SQL Server software

Download and install the SQL Server products.
