CHANGEMSG

Use the CHANGEMSG command to change the severity code of a UIE message from an error (E) to a warning (W) or from a warning (W) to informational (I).

Syntax

CHANGEMSG <MESSAGE-LIST>

Syntax explanations

  • MESSAGE-LIST is a comma separated list of UIE message numbers.
  • The entire UIE message number must be specified, including the message severity level

Rules

The CHANGEMSG command can be repeated if the list of messages cannot fit in one line in the commands file.

Examples

CHANGEMSG UIE4001E

In this example, UIE will change message UIE4001E to a warning UIE4001W.  

CHANGEMSG UIE4420W,UIE4430W

 In this example, UIE will change messages UIE4420W and UIE4430W to informational UIE4420I and UIE4430I.
