Using the IBM utility IFASMFDP

At most sites, the RMF and SMF data collection is an ongoing activity.

Periodically, the data processing staff use the IBM utility IFASMFDP to dump the RMF and SMF data sets into sequential data sets for archiving and storage purposes.

Warning

Note

UIE cannot process any RMF and SMF data until after the data has been dumped by IFASMFDP into sequential data sets.
