ZAAPONZIIP

Use the ZAAPONZIIP command if you are using

BMC Performance Predictor for Mainframes

to model an upgrade from a processor that has zAAPs to a new model that has the zAAP on zIIP option.

On the new IBM z13 machines, zAAP processors are no longer supported; however, on the z13, zAAP workloads can execute on a zIIP processor. Before you run UIE to build an XML model file to be used in Performance Predictor, you must use the ZAAPONZIIP command to indicate the CPU serial number of the processor that you want to upgrade.

Syntax

ZAAPONZIPP CPUSERIAL=xxxx

Syntax explanation

xxxx is the last 4 hex digits of the CPC serial numbers.

Example

 ZAAPONZIIP CPUSERIAL=1234
