Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
Configure Key Performance Indicators (KPI) displayed in the KPI Trend Table on the generated transaction pathway model instance dashboard.
Common objects that have useful KPIs for transaction pathways:
- BTM Summary Metrics
- BTM Transaction Pathways
- BTM Activities
- BTM Paths
- BTM Touchpoints
- BTM Metrics (SLA)
- WebSphere MQ Local Queues
You can add a KPI definition for any BTM Summary Metric but for those KPIs to be available you must also enable Summary Metrics on the Model Attributes tab.
You can add a KPI definition for one or more object types. For each object type added you select the attributes to be displayed on the trend table. For each attribute you can specify thresholds with an associated tool tip and icon. For example, if you selected the AverageElapsedTime attribute and the value was greater than a threshold of 10 the tooltip and icon displayed would be that of the defined threshold. If more than one threshold is defined the tooltip and icon displayed would be that of the last threshold exceeded.
In addition to the attributes and thresholds some object types allow you to select the objects for which you want those attributes displayed. For these object types there are alternatives.
Object type is a type that is used in the transaction pathway:
- You can let the product auto-select the objects based on the configuration of the transaction pathway. For example, if you had a prefix defined of "ProdQueue*" it would find all queues beginning with "ProdQueue*" for the hosts and queue managers defined in the model. When auto-select is used you can update a generated transaction pathway model instance when objects have been discovered or have been removed.
- You can select specific queues from the set of queues used in the configuration of the transaction pathway.
- You can query the repository and select the objects.
Object type is a type that is not used in the transaction pathway:
- You can query the repository and select the objects.
