The Models tab


This section describes the Models tab, and also includes:

 

The following figure illustrates the Models tab of the BTM tab. Activity associations appear in the left pane when an activity is selected. Use the model tools to create, modify, validate models and generate model instances.

Tool

Use to...

Name

Enter or change the name of the base transaction pathway. Generated instances of the transaction pathway cannot be renamed.

Generate Instance

Generate an instance of the currently displayed model. The way your transaction pathway looks when you click Generate Instance is how the pathway appears on the Operations tab. New instances have suffixes appended to their names in the list of model names that indicate the instance number.

Validate

Validate the currently displayed model.

Update Auto-Select KPIs

Updates the Key Performance Indicator (KPI) trend table on the generated model instance dashboard with any new or removed objects. Changes take effect when the workspace is committed after selecting this button.

Select objects in the currently displayed model and use to draw connectors between activity terminals.

Zoom in or out on the currently displayed model.

Select this tool and click in the workspace to add an activity to the currently displayed model.

Select this tool and click in the workspace to add a begin to the currently displayed model.

Select this tool and click in the workspace to add an end to the currently displayed model.

Activity associations

There is one for each input or output terminal for the selected activity. If the association is an active monitoring point, then the association is defined. If the association is defined, but it is overridden with custom information, an asterisk appears in the A column. 

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
