To refine an expression with the Expression Editor
- From the Expressions tab in the left pane of the Policies tab, select the relevant expression. The right pane of the Policies tab is refreshed with the current details of the expression, including any referencing policy objects.
- Click Editor to display the Expression Editor.
- The Attributes field lists all the attributes you can filter on. Double-click, or drag and drop the attributes to the Expression field in order to place the attribute into the expression.
- The Operators table contains all the supported logical and mathematical operators, and can also be added to the expression by double-clicking or dragging and dropping as required.
- The Attribute Labels field displays the possible values for the Attribute Type, displayed as child nodes of the attribute name. For example, Qtype can be Local, Model, Alias, Remote, or Cluster.
You can also use Type/Instance path information for your expression. For example: if you are looking for Local Queues on a particular queue manager, you can use the InstancePath =~ "NETWORKHOST!QMGR!QUEUE" to find all queues that have QUEUE in them on the Network Host and Queue Manager specified. - Click Validate to check your expression's validity, and then click OK.
Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
