The event flow

The TMTM Extensible Agent passes monitored data to the TMTM Topic Service; the TMTM Topic Service passes the information to the Monitor Console (but does not evaluate it for event conditions). Concurrently, the TMTM Topic Service passes the information to the TMTM Event Service, which evaluates the data and determines if an action must be taken.

If you open a new Monitor Console on any machine in the network, all existing alerts are sent to that Monitor Console when it connects to the TMTM Event Service. This ensures that all Monitor Consoles have current information. When you create an event and click Commit on the Events tab, the rules are saved to the TMTM Event Service.
