Detaching objects from a rule template

You can detach objects from a template without affecting the other objects attached to the template. You can remove associated objects which removes the rule from the object, or you can break the association, which retains the rule as a concrete rule associated with the object.

To remove associated objects

  1. Right-click the template and select Remove Associated Objects.
  2. Select the objects you want to remove from the template. Select one object at a time or use Ctrl+click or Shift+click to select multiple objects.
  3. Click Apply.

To break the association

  1. Select the object.
  2. Click Break Association in the rule view pane.
