Before you begin
Before you install TrueSight Capacity Optimizer for Mainframes and its related components, review the following information:
- You must have the following products or components installed before you install TrueSight Capacity Optimizer for Mainframes:
- Universal Information Exchange (UIE) 2.0.00
- BMC AMI Capacity Database Web Services (formerly known as BMC Capacity Management Database or CDB) 1.5.00
- BMC TrueSight Capacity Optimization20.02.00
- TrueSight Capacity Optimizer for Mainframes requires data that is generated by UIE to be transferred to a Microsoft Windows workstation or server that is running the CDB Automator component. Configuring-the-CDB-Automator describes a process for pulling that data from the mainframe by using FTP.
