SOLUTION

This optional parameter names each SET statement in the rule list member of an AUTO function.

A solution includes both the INC/EXC parameters for the SET statement. This value is also specified in the AUTO commands, associating the command with the SET statement. The INC/EXC parameters define a specific scenario while the SET statement parameters define the action to take when the scenario is encountered.

BMC Software recommends using this parameter on all SET statements.

Note

In previous versions of the MainView SRM Automation product, the SOLUTION parameter was used as an INC/EXC statement. The INC/EXC form of the parameter can still be used; however, BMC Software recommends using the SET form of the parameter.

SOLUTION=<solutionName>

Default

None.

Variable

The solutionName variable is the name of the solution (up to 8 alphanumeric characters).
