Customizing after installation

BMC recommends that you use the Installation System to customize MainView for UNIX System Services. For more information, see Installing.

If you decide not to use the Installation System, perform the following steps to customize MainView for UNIX System Services manually:

  1. Complete the MainView customization tasks that apply to MainView for UNIX System Services. See Manual customization.

  2. Define a user ID for the product address space (PAS). See Defining-a-user-ID-for-the-PAS.
  3. Copy members BBUTSPxx, BBUTSAxx, USSJPRCS, BBUTSHxx, and UFOHFSJ. See Copying-members.
