Understanding BMC Software Extensions for MainView for MQ

The BMC Software Extensions for IBM MQ technology is used to intercept MQI calls on z/OS to collect statistical and trace information.

For distributed systems, intercepts and data collection are provided by BMC Performance Manager for IBM MQ (formerly named PATROL for IBM MQ ). This product enables queue performance statistics and the queue usage functions. For more information, see the BMC Performance Manager for IBM MQ Planning and Implementation Guide.
