Defining queue manager target names

For each queue manager that you want to manage with MainView for MQ, you must define a queue manager target name and associate it with the appropriate PAS.

When you define a queue manager target name, a service point is established and you are able to access MainView for MQ services. Define a queue manager target name by performing one of the following tasks. These tasks are explained in the following sections.

  • Edit the job name table (BBIJNT00) to create static entries.
  • Use the PLEX Manager to create dynamic entries.

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
