The z/VM Virtual Devices (VMLVDEVR) view displays z/VM virtual device statistics. You can access this view by entering the view name on the COMMAND line or by hyperlinking on the VMUserid field of the VMLUSRR or VMLLSRR views which will display all the virtual devices for the selected virtual machine.
The view provides the following z/VM virtual device information:
- four digit hexadecimal virtual device address
- user ID which defined the virtual device
- monitored z/VM system
- number of virtual I/O requests
- number of actual CP I/O operations
- DASD volume serial identifier if real device is a minidisk
- four digit hexadecimal real device address
- start location of DASD real device
- size of DASD real device
- real device type
- read/write status
- user ID which owns the virtual device
- owner ID’s four digit hexadecimal virtual device address
- virtual device class
- minidisk type if DASD real device
