z/VM Minidisks view
The z/VM Minidisks (VMFDISKR) view, displays the status of accessed minidisks and SFS directories on the z/VM data server. You can access this view by entering the view name on the COMMAND line or from the Minidisks option on the EZLNXV Menu.
The view provides the following minidisk information:
- accessed disk mode letter
- status of the disk or SFS directory: R/W (read/write) or R/O (read/only)
- amount of the disk that is being used (percentage)
- number of files on the disk or in the SFS directory
- virtual address of the disk or DIR if SFS directory
- owner userid of disk or SFS directory
- owner virtual address of disk or SFS directory
- number of cylinders available on the disk
- disk device type
- disk block size
- number of disk blocks in use
- number of disk blocks left
- total number of disk blocks
- label assigned to disk or SFS directory name

By hyperlinking on the Mode field, you can display the VMFLIST view, which shows the list of z/VM files on the minidisk.
By hyperlinking on the Ownerid field, you can display the VMLVDEVR view which, shows all the virtual devices of that virtual machine ownerid.
From the VMFDISKR view, you can perform actions to view, access, or release a minidisk or SFS directory. These actions are described below.
