Stopping a Trace


This topic describes how to stop a Trace in MainView for IP.

To stop a MainView for IP Trace

  1. From the EZIP menu select the type of Trace you want from the Diagnostics section, and press Enter.
  2. In the Command field of the Tracing view for a trace with status of ACTIVE, type STO or STOPALL (to stop all active traces) and press Enter. You can select from the following types of Traces:
    • PKTTRACE: Packet Tracing
    • DATTRACE: Data Tracing
    • OSATRACE: OSA Tracing
    • SKTTRACE: Socket Tracing
  3. Press Enter to return to the Tracing view. The Trace Status field should now display STOPPED for the selected trace.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
