Gathering Shared Memory Communications (SMC) data

MainView for IP enables you to use the NMI to gather new Shared Memory Communications (SMC) traffic and RoCE/ISM interface data. The data collected includes:

  • SMC Link data
  • SMC interface data
  • RoCE tuning stats data 

To gather SMC and RoCE/ISM data using the NMI

  1. Select EZSMC from the EZIP menu.

  2. Select one of the following links to retrieve the data.

    • SMCLINKS— SMC Links
    • SMCCONS— SMC Connections
    • STACKSMC— SMC Stack stats
    • SMCINTF—  SMC Interfaces

    The relevant information is displayed in the view.
