NMI settings

In the MVIPNMID view, the NMI settings section contains the fields that control how 

MainView for IP

 collects data from configured IBM NMIs.

The following table lists the fields in this section of the MVIPNMID view. Turning one of these settings on or off does not affect the configuration of the IBM NMI services.

Description

SNA (EE/RTP/CSM) Data Collection

Specifies whether the collection of Enterprise Extender (EE), Rapid Transfer Protocol (RTP), and Communication Storage Manager (CSM) data from the IBM SNA NMI is enabled

End of Connection NMI Collection

Specifies whether the collection of end-of-connection data from the IBM TCP/IP NMI (SYSTCPCN) is enabled

SMF (FTP) Data Collection

Specifies whether the collection of SMF (including FTP) data from the IBM TCP/IP NMI (SYSTCPSM) is enabled

zERT Data Collection

Specifies whether to collect detailed encryption data from the IBM TCP/IP NMI (SYSTCPER) or summary encryption data from the IBM TCP/IP NMI (SYSTCPES) NMI

IPSec Data Collection

Specifies whether the collection of IPSec data is enabled

TN3270E Performance Monitoring

Specifies whether the collection of TN3270E performance data from the IBM TCP/IP NMI is enabled
