SNMP Manager API

The SNMP Manager API collects both SNMP MIBs and OSA MIBs. The SNMP Manager API requires an SNMP Manager API configuration file only if you are using the IBM Simple Network Management Protocol version 3 (SNMPv3).

The configuration file must be a z/OS UNIX file, defined on the MVIPCNFD view.

Note

If you are not using SNMPv3, SNMP and (Open Systems Adapter) OSA, the data collection occurs without any configuration files. For more information about the configuration file, see the IP Programmer's Guide and Reference from IBM.

The MainView for IP PAS requires the hlq.TOSZLINK data set in STEPLIB along with the hlq.BBLINK data set. Also, SYS1.SIEALNKE file must reside in the LNKLIST .

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
