Total IMS Resource Usage Analysis report overview

You create the Total IMS Resource Usage Analysis report to:

  • Quantify dynamic resources consumed for the total IMS system.
  • Determine the profile of the IMS workload for activity (programs, transaction, DL/I, or SQL calls) and resources consumed (CPU and I/O).
  • CPU usage is shown on the report either as user-related (chargeable) or as overhead (not chargeable). The report also shows the total number of programs and transactions, DL/I and DB2 subsystem requests, and terminal and database I/O.
  • Track total resource consumption. The report is an overview that contains no costing information.
