IRUF utilities

The MainView for IMS Offline product provides utilities for selecting and printing IRUF data. The utilities can process detailed or summarized IRUFs.

PRSSELEC

Select

A data selection utility that you can run against either a detailed or a summarized IRUF to select specific records

The selected records can be printed in hexadecimal format, written to a file, or both.

PRSPRINT

Print

A print utility that reads and prints every record in the specified input IRUF and creates a formatted report showing the contents of each record in the file

Because PRSPRINT has no data selection capabilities, it is usually preceded by a data selection utility such as PRSSELEC.
