PRL programming techniques

This chapter describes additional programming techniques to produce specialized PRL reports. Using these techniques, you can create programs that do the following functions:

  • route report output
  • format report output
  • select archive data
  • expedite record retrieval
  • index detail (CMRDETL) records
  • index by qualifying variable names
  • produce graphs with PRL reports
  • summarize data
  • sort by more than one field
  • report fourth-generation language (4GL) database activity
  • create worst transaction response time reports
