CMQCONN view


This topic descibes the CMQCONN view.

Note

The CMQCONN view replaces the CREGMQS view. The CREGMQS view is still available for compatibility purposes. BMC plans to withdraw support for the CREGMQS view in a future release.

To display information about the status and activity of the WebSphere MQ connection and the MQ attachment for CICS regions within the current context, perform one of the following actions:

  • Hyperlink from the MQSeries Attachment field of the EZCFSSI Easy menu.
  • Hyperlink from the MQ Series Information field of the EZCSREGN Easy menu.
  • Hyperlink from the MQ ssid field of the CREGDETL view.
  • Hyperlink from the MQ Sys field of the TASKMQ view.

Usage notes

  • The view displays only regions that have a WebSphere MQ connection set up.
  • Scroll to the right to see additional fields.
  • For additional information about WebSphere MQ usage, you can hyperlink from the MQ Mgr field on the CMQCONN view to the QMMVSD view in the MainView for WebSphere MQ product.

Actions

The CMQCONN view supports the following line command actions:

 

Line command

Description

SET

changes the value in a modifiable field to the new value that you type in that field

In CMQCONN views, the following fields are modifiable:

  • Connection Status
  • Resync Member
  • MQ Name

Note

Be sure the field contains exactly the value that you want before pressing Enter to issue the SET command. You must clear the field of any other data to prevent it from being passed as part of the new value.

STA

starts the MQ connection

STO

stops the MQ connection

This action uses the default BUSY(WAIT) option.

Description

CMQCONNQ

To display the Quick Menu for WebSphere MQ connection information, hyperlink from the MQ Name field of the CMQCONN view.

CMQCONNZ

To display a summary view that summarizes all CICS-to-WebSphere MQ connections based on the Connection Status field, enter CMQCONNZ or the SUM command from the CMQCONN view.

CMQCONND

To display detailed information about the attributes and status of a specific WebSphere MQ connection, hyperlink from the Connection Status field of the CMQCONN view.

CMQCONNR

To display the WebSphere MQ connection signature data, hyperlink from the Resource Signature field of the CMQCONNQ Quick Menu.
