Product criteria
Product criteria fields apply only to components of a given type (CICS, CTG, Db2, IMS or WebSphere MQ). This section describes the one common option that applies to all component types.
Fold to uppercase field
Some product criteria are case sensitive. The Fold to uppercase option enables you to control how these criteria are interpreted by the search process.
If Fold to uppercase is set to Y, all values in the search dialog are converted to uppercase before the search begins. For example, a CICS transaction entered as trn1 would be converted to TRN1. Components associated with transaction trn1 would not be located.
If any of your product criteria need to include lowercase letters, set Fold to uppercase to N. When the value is N, fields in the search dialog that are marked with an asterisk (such as CICS transaction and Term ID) remain exactly as you enter them. Only fields that are not marked with an asterisk are converted to uppercase.
For example, suppose you want to search for Db2 components that were started by user MYUSER on workstation My.Workstation. You could enter the DB2 user name as either myuser or MYUSER, but the workstation name must be entered exactly as My.Workstation.
