MainView Transaction Analyzer utilities
These online utilities can be useful to BMC Customer Support in diagnosing problems that occur with MainView Transaction Analyzer.
To access the MainView Transaction Analyzer utilities
On the EZTA easy menu under Options & Settings, position your cursor on MVTAUtilities and press Enter.

Active MVTA Loggers
MTALOGR view
Displays detailed information about MainView Transaction Analyzer log file usage
From this view, you can hyperlink from:
- The Sys field to see a list of log files for the associated NGL LOGSET or Logger logspace (MTALOGL view)
You can also use the L line command to display the MTALOGL view.
- The LSNAME field to see access statistics for the targeted LOGSET or logspace (MTALOGS view)
You can also use the ST line command to display the MTALOGS view.

Active MVTA Servers
MTAACTIV view
Displays the active MainView Transaction Analyzer instances that are available on the CASplex
Connected Products
MTACONN view
Displays the address spaces that are connected to this MainView Transaction Analyzer instance
The connected address spaces could be other BMC AMI Ops product PASs or MQ manager address spaces that are being used by BMC AMI Ops Monitor for MQ.
Operating Parameters
STORLIST view
Displays the MainView Transaction Analyzer startup parameters
The content of the STORLIST view depends on how it is invoked. If the STARTUP parameter is used (as it is when this hyperlink is followed), the view displays startup parameters.
If STORLIST is invoked from the command line without a parameter, it displays both the startup parameters and the current modules in use.
Search Dialog Defaults
DFLT view
Displays the default values used in the search dialog
The values are derived from the MTAPRMxx member in the BBPARM library.

Displays a list of available policy definition members and allows you to combine policy members into a group policy definition

DIAGCBS view
Displays the contents of the MainView Transaction Analyzer control blocks
From this view, you can hyperlink on
- the Blk ID field to see a formatted control block display (CBDSPLY view)
- the Address field to display storage from the specified address (DIAGSTOR view)
Correlation Fields
Correlation Fields search dialog (followed by UCOMP view)
Displays all fields related to a given correlation in a tabular view
MVTA Module Listing
STORLIST view
Displays information about the modules that are being used by MainView Transaction Analyzer
The content of the STORLIST view depends on how it is invoked. If the JOBPACK parameter is used (as it is when this hyperlink is followed), the view displays information about the current modules in use.
If STORLIST is invoked from the command line without a parameter, it displays both the current modules in use and the MainView Transaction Analyzer startup parameters
MVTA Trace
DIAGTRAC view
Displays the contents of the MainView Transaction Analyzer trace
To enable tracing, use the TRACE MODIFY command, as described in TRACE—Enable diagnostic tracing .
Operating Statistics
OPSTATS view
Displays various operating statistics about a MainView Transaction Analyzer session
The statistics that are displayed in the OPSTATS view are controlled by the STATS parameter of member MTAPRMxx. The default is STATS=YES, so as distributed, operating statistics are collected. For information about MTAPRMxx and the STATS parameter, see Configuration parameters
